to have a better understanding of this part of the world I'll have to tell you the story of the Saudi kingdom (known as "Saudia" in Arabic & "Saudi Arabia" in English)

about 90 years ago a tribal man called "Abdul-Aziz Saud" started to unite the Bedouins (tribes of the desert) of the Arabian peninsula to form his kingdom.

in that process, he used what is known as the Wahhabi/Salafi sect, an extremist interpretation of Islam that appeared many times in Islamic history & revived by a guy called "Abdul-Wahhab" (who lived few decades earlier before Abdul-Aziz & was a collaborator with Abdul-Aziz's ancestors to revolt against Turk
